The Main RoomsThis guest lodging has many unusual features not often found in a typical bed and breakfast. It features a huge two story living room with a balcony and gigantic fireplace /hearth, wide chestnut floorboards, a 150 year old Scottish Grandfather clock and many period antiques. It is a comfortable room that invites guests to enjoy a warm fire, read a book, watch tv, play scrabble, or just plain relax.
I have recently developed an interest in various art forms, and have started what I think, is quite an interesting collection of pieces. Funny how we mature and wander down new paths.
When guests, friends and family visit, the feeling most often expressed is one immediate familiarity and comfort, which of course delights me and validates all that I am trying to accomplish here at The Quid.
Guests are welcome to use the internet, the fridge, have a glass of wine--whatever makes them feel at home.
