The GroundsNestled on 21 pristine wooded acres, completely private with no other house in sight, The Quid is reached by a 1/4 mile gravel driveway in some of the most serene land you will see summer, autumn, winter, or spring.
The Quid affords lovely views and interesting landscaping, with many stone walls, terraces and seasonal flower beds. In May and early June the wildflowers are a wonder--there are even yellow lady slippers. I'm very proud of those.
Guests are invited to wander and explore, or sit on the deck and bird watch. Thanks to diligent filling of feeders, guests might see anything from the common chickadee to a red-bellied woodpecker, rose-breasted grosbeak, hummingbirds, or even my resident red-tailed hawk. Have a glass of wine, or homemade mint iced tea while viewing these avian visitors. Can you tell that Nature is a big part of life here at The Quid?
