Welcome to The Quid
My name is Susan Rush, and this is my home.
In 1985, after years away, filled with adventures and excitement I "came home to roost". As I rattled around this absolutely beautiful home, pondering what to do for the next chapter in my journey, I had an epiphany..why not share the bounty with others? So, here I am, 21 years later, an innkeeper. It has been, and continues to be, the best chapter yet!
The house is situated on land that has been in the Rush family since 1928 from the wood of an old tobacco barn that existed on the property. The home itself was built in 1939 as a summer place. Over the years it has been winterized and added onto in the typical New England fashion.
We are four miles from Canterbury School in New Milford, and approximately 9 miles from the Gunnery and Rumsey Hall in Washington. I am twenty minutes from South Kent, 30 minutes from Kent, and 10 minutes from Bucks' Rock Camp in New Milford.
